What is The Portal? Well it's a collection of sites rolled into one. It started when i met up with some old friends and met some new friends at an Art Exhibition in Manchester, from there we got in to discussions and i offered to host the content to help with cutting down on the organisers costs.
The main sites where:
The Machester Gothic Arts Group which involved Matt Carson, Liz Yates and Kolyn Amor.
ARANights which was run by DJ Krow and DJ Raven.
The Altaer which is Kolyn Amor's Portfolio of his work.
The Portal progressed with new content management for organising the content, But unfortunatly due to a major hardware failure we lost alot of information, mainly registered user accounts. So from then the new Portal has been designed, with this design we thought to expand and turn it into more than just an informational site and in to a social/communication site. What we plan is for 'The Portal' to become an outlet for the Manchester Gothic and Art Scene.
The Portal is hosted with L2KHosting which is a small projected based organisation.
